Brewco Motorsports is a NASCAR Busch Series team that set up shop in Central City in 1995.  Brewco has been ranked in the top 10 of the Busch Series in the final owner points four of the last five years. Now in its twelfth year, Brewco will run the No. 27 Kleenex Ford with driver Ward Burton and No. 37 Cub Cadet/Yard-Man Ford with drivers Greg Biffle and Jamie McMurray.  Visitors are welcome to stop by the shop Monday through Friday from 8 am through 4:30 pm.

Owensboro's Sassafras Tree

The largest known Sassafras tree in the world, approximately 300 years old, is located in the heart of Owensboro. This tree measures over 100 feet tall and 21 feet in circumference, with the average sassafras being 30 to 50 feet tall.  The bark, twigs, and leaves of the sassafras are aromatic and pleasant to the taste. Each tree produces three differently shaped leaves: ovate, one-lobed, and three-lobed.

Owensboro's community theatre for over 40 years, TWO is housed in the historic Trinity Church, which was built in 1875. The theatre produces five main stage productions each season, plus two youth productions in the summer and a Christmas show in December.
