Exhibits are up from the 1st of each month until the end of the month. An Open House is held early in the month for the visiting exhibitor. Please check local news papers or call us for the time. To end our year, there is a community open house in early December on a Sunday afternoon from 1-4. There is special music, decorated trees and Christmas displays with lots of good things to eat. Admission to the Center is free but donations are welcome. The Center is closed from mid December until February 1st each year.
The Duncan Cultural Center has an elaborate Coal museum, Native American Display with lovely victorian touches throughout the Center plus so much more. The Beautiful stained glass bay windows are a favorite with visitors. When closed to the public the Center may be rented for class reunions, dinner parties, showers, etc. We welcome tours, small and large and welcome class field trips for students during our regular hours or by appointment by calling us at 270-338-2605 for details.

The Fine Arts Center is on the campus of Henderson Community College and was dedicated in June, 1994. It is home to many of Henderson's musical, artistic, and cultural events throughout the year. JOHN JAMES AUDUBON MUSEUM & NATURE CENTER

Visit the John James Audubon Museum & Nature Center while you're in Audubon State Park. The impressive main building, an excellent example of the French Norman of architecture, was constructed in the 1930's by the Work Projects Administration. In 1993, the building underwent a $2.2 million renovation/addition, and now features a new Nature Center where bird lovers of all ages can observe and learn about birds in their natural habitat. In 1994, the renovated Museum became the permanent home of the L.S. Tyler Audubon Collection - an historically significant collection of paintings, writings, and personal artifacts of John James Audubon, the first artist/ornithologist to depict life-size birds and animals in their natural surroundings.

This impressive facility consists of a 1,061 seat auditorium, a large stage conducive for black box theatre, orchestra pit and gallery. The Center not only provides nationally known artists, but is also a showcase for visual arts and exhibits which culturally enrich the community.
OHIO COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM

The Ohio County Historical Society Museum is an attraction for history buffs of all ages. The complex features four historical buildings: an 1838 cabin, the historical Thomas Home, a country store and a rustic homestead building. The museum is in the heart of town, one block from the county court house.

This camp was developed as a training center for soldiers in WWII. As soldiers, Bob Dole and Jackie Robinson resided there. Later European prisoners of war were held there, and their mural art is preserved in the Museum.
